Fashion shouldn’t be expensive, mixing and matching items you already have often works and if you need new items, you can get lots of amazing items on sites like Ebay, Primark, swapping sites or charity shops.  Or borrow items from friends.  Spend time looking through clothes you already have and take photos so you remember what clothes you have to wear.  Also, consider our sustainable ranges on EGO CLOTHING LTD, sale on at the moment.

Remember if you don’t need something, think about recycling by giving to organisations that are desperate for clothes, shoes and accessories.  They will really appreciate them and go to excellent causes.  If you are creative you could design some of this seasons styles yourself.

How to recycle clothes that cannot be donated!

  • Take to clothing banks located in most supermarkets or recycling centres
  • Some manufacturers off recycling services such as H&M, John Lewis, Schuh, Zara, Patagonia, New Look some even offer discount if you are looking to buy something new
  • Remember most zips, buttons, chains and home furnishings can be recycled
  • Runners Need is good for old trainers, they used to offer a £20 voucher, also, Nike offers the reuse-shoe scheme
  • ReGain app offers up to 25% off brands for 10+ items you bag and send, you have to download the app
  • Places like the Salvation Army gives clothes directly to people who need them
  • Against Breast Cancer has a recycling scheme that takes bras, Also Bravissimo and M&S

(Please do not send items to these companies, without checking first.  Some companies get overwhelmed with the amount of items they receive.  Also, check if companies still offer the recycling schemes as some have stopped throughout the pandemic.)
